The rice dumpling or also known as chang, is made for the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in the Chinese calendar.

At Xin, guests may choose savoury dumplings filled with duck meat, lotus seed, chestnut and salted egg yolk or sweet dumplings with lotus paste and salted egg yolk fillings.  Each mouthful of any sweet or savoury dumplings is delicious.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Asia’s first Hard Rock Hotel celebrated its 8th Birthday on 15th May 2006 and had some rockin’ surprises for its hotel guests!
 
The 8th guest who checked in on 15th May 2006 was given a complimentary upgrade to a Family Suite. Mr and Mrs Ng from Singapore were the lucky ones. The couple, who last visited Bali 10 years ago, were most pleasantly surprised when Jamal Hussain, General Manager at Hard Rock Hotel Bali came out with a giant guitar-shaped birthday cake to celebrate the occasion.
 
“This is a wonderful surprise for us! Thank you and happy birthday to Hard Rock Hotel Bali!” cheered Mr. Ng.
 
All hotel guests that day who were part of the rockin’ birthday celebrations were treated to a slice of the delicious birthday cake.

Last month, Hard Rock Hotel Bali hosted 16 travel agents from China and Golden Rama Express Tour & Travel, the local operator in Bali.

Organized by Singapore Airlines, the aim of this visit was to further promote Bali to the Chinese market. Singapore Airlines has increased its non-stop flights from Guangzhou to Singapore from seven to 10 times a week since March 28th 2006. Traveling to Bali now is even more convenient as this schedule offers connection on the same day.

A hotel inspection was conducted by the sales team at Hard Rock Hotel Bali to showcase the newly renovated rooms and restaurants, Splash Bistro and Starz Diner. The agents were then treated to a Hard Rock style lunch at Starz Diner, the hotel’s hip all day dining restaurant.

Jamal Hussain, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali presents Kumi Takaba with an award and a gift as recognition for her outstanding performance.

2006 Super GT Championship Malaysia

The 2006 Super GT Championship Malaysia, which features the biggest ever drivers’ participation with eight championship series joining the feature Super GT race during the three-day motor racing showcase, will be held at Sepang International Circuit next month from 23 – 25 June 2006.

Casa Del Mar, Langkawi
The Super Sports Channel will be available on TV in all guestrooms. In addition, the main World Cup matches will be shown on a big screen in the meeting room between 9pm and 3am.

The Lakehouse, Cameron Highlands
Guests will be able to watch World Cup matches on TV, either at the Cameron Bar, the Highlander Lounge or the Private Room.

World Cup matches will be screened on a LCD Projector starting from 9 June till 9 July. Tentative venue will be at Melting Pot Café, where the 11pm and 2am matches will be shown.
