The Lakehouse, Cameron Hinglands offers a nature experience that most experience trekker could not resist. Set in the beauty and serene of Cameron Highlands, this nature program has combined The Mount Brinchang Mossy Forest Tour and visit to The Orang Asli Village.
The journey will begin with a short commentary stop at the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation before the drive up to Mount Brinchang, the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands. With a little bit of luck you can enjoy the magnificent view of Cameron Highlands from the view tower at 6666 feet.
An interpretive walk into the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the exotic montane flora and fauna. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia. Here a tour of the factory will be conducted by the guide. Have a cup of tea at the Umpp Tea Shop where you will be amazed by the wide range of tea available.
After lunch at Tanah Rata, the journey will continue to a vegetable and flower farms of an Orang Asli village. Observe their simple lifestyle; experience their culture and learn about the traditional medicine. Try the blowpipe and get to know the tools and musical instruments used by the Orang Asli. A twenty minutes walk around the village will help you to understand some of their medicinal plants. Next, the journey will continue at the Boh Tea Plantation before returning to hotel.
