Food and beverage @ Casa del Mar, Langkawi – Malaysia

Casa del Mar has built a reputation for being the home away for home for couples all over the world. Specialising in personalised service for guests who holiday within this sea front 34 room hotel.

The food and beverage outlets have recently been through an energised transition moving towards its goal of being the best Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in Panatai Cenang.

On offer is a signature range of cocktails themed around times of the day and bringing a kitchen concept into the bar. Barmen proudly use only premium ingredients and are preparing your refreshers with pride and style and freshness.

Sunsets are a specialty at the Bar with a themed range of refreshing Bellini’s, Martinis’ and long drinks, the perfect accompaniment as the sun sets over the Aman sea and nearby Islands and enjoyed of course with someone special. Music is selected to match this romantic time of the day from soothing jazz to world lounge.

The Restaurant is elegantly set beachside within our coconut grove; you will find that this experience is all about exclusive dining in a beautiful location. As the perfect sunset casts its warm glow across Pantai Cenang, this romantic beach setting will be permeated with the sounds of cool, ‘live’ piano and lit by tall candelabras and flares that cast shadows over the sea.

The food at Casa del Mar showcases modern Mediterranean theme whilst also providing our guest with a selection of fine Malaysian specialties. Sourcing the freshest and best possible produce is imperative to our restaurant delivery. This includes quality local seafood, imported and local meats and fresh vegetable, salads and fruits while a selection of unique local Malaysian ingredients are used to add a distinct Langkawi flavour. The signature dessert is a mix of classic western and unique Malaysian fruits: the Trio of Langkawi Brûlée’s is a must.

The recent improvements have been about quality service concepts as well as product presentation. Some key factors would be the introduction of large frangipani’s around the bar to provide open and shaded dining or for that relaxing beverage. The bar roof has been raised with candelabras and bottle displays adding to the already relaxing ambience. Staff uniforms are modern contemporary with hand painted Spanish vines that link to the design on the new menu folders. Glassware has been selected and handmade to match the new range of long fresh cocktails perfect for those hot summer days and last but not least the music system has been upgraded to include outdoor speakers which create atmosphere during sunset and dinner while ensuring the same relaxed ambience throughout the day.
