HPL Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Francois Malric as Operations Manager of Rihiveli Beach Resort in the Maldives.

Prior to joining the HPL Hotels & Resorts group, Francois was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at Hotel Management Services in Bora Bora.

The French Polynesian brings with him a wealth of resort operations skills, having acquired 24 years of experience working up the ranks at various hotels and resorts. His hospitality stints include several executive and senior positions: Executive Assistant Manager at the Royal Waikoloan on the island of Hawaii and the Outrigger Hotel Tahiti, General Manager at the Te Tiare Beach Resort Tahiti, Resort Manager at the Hyatt Regency Tahiti, and Hotel Manager on the Tu Moana Yacht, with Bora Bora Cruises.

Francois also earned the “Mauruuru Award” which recognises his outstanding services as Executive Assistant Manager while working at the Outrigger Hotel Taihiti. His most memorable job encounter by far, was the official visit of the French President, Francois Miterrand, while working at the Hyatt Regency in Tahiti.

The father of two girls and a boy, who considers raising his children his biggest, non work-related challenge, also enjoys scuba diving with his son.
