Well, the time has finally come for Andrew Drummond to take up a new challenge! After almost five very happy years as General Manager at Casa Del Mar in Langkawi, Andrew is now ready to move on, to a little island in the Maldives … called Kandooma, to be precise.

In his new role as General Manager of Kandooma, Andrew is now overseeing the pre-opening of this new resort, which is scheduled to start operations in the second half of 2008. He promises that he will send a postcard once he settles on Kandooma island, so do look out for the next issue of our enews to find out how Andrew is doing! Managed by HPL Hotels & Resorts, Kandooma is, like all Maldivian resorts, located on its own island of the same name. It can be reached from Male, the nation's capital, by spending 30 minutes on a southbound speedboat. Kandooma is well known in scuba circles as an island off which can be found some of the region’s best diving. This resort will have 160 rooms, two main restaurants and aims to offer a fresh new alternative to the traditional Maldivian holiday.
